The latest collection from Leopards and Roses offers long tops, jackets and hoodies in a more subdued colour palette with a few brights in the mix. Divided into two groups with tie-dyed floral appliqué as their commonality this collection has a lot to choose from. In Viscose and ombre-dyed, Blooms Away puts forward unique shawl cardigans and long tops with large floral appliqué, or long tops in a reverse cut-out appliqué, all in hues of blue, brown and grey.
Rose puckered appliqué cotton velvet tops and hoodies make up the other part of this collection. The fabric is first tie-dyed, cut and then sent to women in rural communities who, by hand, stitch the roses onto each piece in a manner creating a puckered effect. To keep the eye flowing many of the velvet pieces are patched together with cotton fabrics that are printed and then over-dyed and finally hand embroidered with velvet roses and vine stitching.
